STELLA ALPINA AL LAGO CORVO

The Rifugio Stella Alpina al Lago Corvo lies on the border between the provinces of Trento and Bolzano near Passo Rabbi, which connects the Val di Rabbi with the Val d'Ultimo. It was built in 1952 in stone and wood in a place where livestock traditionally passed through. A little higher up are the spectacular Lago Corvo and other little glacial lakes. Arctic char live in these blue waters (which give a touch of colour to the harsh mountain environment which surrounds them), while the crags surrounding the lake are the habitat of chamois.
