Marc Girardelli – ski legend of the 80s and 90s goes on an exciting journey with Conny Bürgler to Madonna di Campiglio and meets old companions from his impressive skiing career.

Marc Girardelli, the legendary ski racer, is one of the most successful and versatile athletes in the skiing world. He dominated international skiing in the 80s and 90s and shaped an era that is still remembered today. Born in Austria and competing for Luxembourg, he impressed with his ability to reach the top in all disciplines.

Girardelli stood out for his versatility and fighting spirit. At a time when most ski racers specialized in one or two disciplines, he excelled in slalom, giant slalom, super-G, downhill and combined .During his career, he won five overall World Cup titles, 46 World Cup races and was a multiple world and Olympic champion. In his 19-year career he won 46 World Cup races and stood on the winner's podium 100 times. Despite 11 injuries, some of them serious, the Lustenau ski star celebrated strong comebacks in the World Cup. In 1991 the Vorarlberg native won in all four disciplines - becoming Slalom Ski World Champion in Saalbach.
